Post office OKs Internet postage test
[Infobeat, August 25, 1998]

StampMaster Inc. Tuesday announced that the U.S. Postal Service has approved market testing of its new service for delivery of postage over the Internet. StampMaster enables users to print a new form of electronic postage delivered over the Internet called indicium directly onto envelopes, labels or business documents using ordinary laser or inkjet printers.

"Electronic access to postage is a key element in meeting our customers' requirements in the rapidly changing technology age," said Postmaster General William J. Henderson. There is no start-up cost and the necessary software can be downloaded free from StampMaster's Web site, http://www.stampmaster.com. The software is then used to connect to StampMaster's secure servers where postage can be purchased.

Highly appreciated for your suggestions
