Uniforms for workers at new postal entity unveiled
TOKYO, Feb. 7, Kyodo - The Postal Services Agency on Friday unveiled
uniforms for workers of a new public postal corporation to be established
in April.
The uniforms are a blue blouson for mail delivery workers, a blue blazer
for sales personnel for postal savings and life insurance, and a light blue
blazer for post office workers.
The uniforms were chosen from some 1,400 designs collected from the public
and based on results of a questionnaire on about 70,000 post office
workers.
The postal entity will take over the currently state-run postal services of
mail delivery, postal savings and ''kampo'' life insurance.
The agency also unveiled logos for the new corporation and post offices,
which read ''JAPAN POST'' and ''POST OFFICE'' in red on a white background.
