Reffer to this source, on August 15, 1962 it was signed an agreement between the government of the Republic of Indonesia and Netherlands concerning Irian Barat case in the headquarter of the United Nations in New York. They're agree that at least before October 1, 1962 Netherlands should handed over Irian Barat (now Irian Jaya) to UNTEA. Further details just read on this first page site.
