(From 1887 to 1896)

The symbol [o] still used today by the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications was established February 8 1887. It was marked in red on the front of the round hat and on the sleeve of the jacket.

OThe o symbol was devised from the sound of the first character in 'Communications Ministry,' the name of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications at the time.

The long trousers were replaced by trousers which ended about 10 centimeters below the knee. Leggings were worn with these trousers.A sleeveless cape. It was black with a red mark.

Leggings were worn between knee-length trousers and straw sandals.The top left of the sleeve showed an abbreviation of the name of the bureau where the deliverer was employed and a number.This number label was attached by a button near the left breast.
