Changes in Japanese Stamps Uniform (6/13)

(From 1907 to 1916)

A new uniform resembling present-day student uniforms was formally approved on October 20, 1909. The red !!XX!! symbol on the cuff was abolished and a dark blue line about 1.5 centimeters wide appeared near the cuff of the sleeve. The round hat was abolished and replaced by a cap. With this standardization, the combination of uniform and Western-style cap became customary.
